Superstruction

What is a superstruction?

Superstructions are independent structures erected on another person’s land with the intention that they should not remain there permanently. Unlike other buildings, they do not become part of the property. Superstructions thus constitute an exception to the otherwise applicable principle that structures, as non-independent components of the property on which they are erected, are not capable of being the subject of separate legal rights. Under civil law, structures are treated as movable property.
