Fees Act

What is the Fees Act?

The Fees Act (GebG) governs the liability to pay fees in respect of legal transactions, documents and official acts. Unless otherwise provided for by law, legal transactions are subject to fees only if a deed is drawn up. For the purposes of the GebG, items subject to fees also include, for example, declarations of guarantee (guarantee), out-of-court settlements (settlement), as well as official copies, submissions and minutes.
