Standard value

What is a standard value?

The standard valuation is used to determine the amount of various taxes and duties (e.g. property tax, land transfer tax, land value levy). Standard values for agricultural and forestry assets and land, as well as for business premises and trading licences, are determined and set every nine years by the relevant tax authority. This assessment must be based on the circumstances at the start of the relevant calendar year. The main assessment of unit values for agricultural property was last carried out in 1988, and for other property in 1973.
