Whistleblowing: legally compliant implementation in the company (27.04.2023)

Whistleblowing is the disclosure of wrongdoing by whistleblowers who have obtained insider information in the company and thus contribute to the fight against corruption, money laundering, environmental hazards etc.

For companies with more than 250 employees, the Whistleblower Protection Act provides for the mandatory establishment of a whistleblower system by 25 August 2023. For legal entities with 50 to 249 employees, the deadline for implementation is 17.12.2023. The implementation raises numerous organisational and legal questions:

  • What is whistleblowing?
  • What does the new Whistleblower Protection Act regulate?
  • What other regulations does the Whistleblower Protection Act provide for?
  • What are the requirements for setting up internal reporting channels?
  • To what extent does whistleblowing contribute to improving compliance and corporate governance?
  • How can whistleblower platforms and networks enhance or protect the reputation of your company?

These and some other keyl questions are answered in this episode of our Schindhelm365 webcast by our whistleblowing expert Lukas Urban. Further information on the optimal implementation of your internal whistleblowing solution can also be found on our Schindhelm Whistleblowing Solution >> page.
