On 31 January 2020, the United Kingdom left the European Union. The transition period ends already on 31 December 2020 and despite a valid exit agreement many questions remain open. Will Great Britain have a special position compared to other third countries? How will trade with Great Britain be conducted in the future? Will the EU still have a good relationship with Downing Street 10 after the Brexit?

At this event we would like to examine and discuss these and other key aspects of the future relationship between the EU and Britain:

  • Keynote speech
    • Overview of the withdrawal agreement: Dr Julia Spitzbart and Dr Thomas Ruhm (both SAXINGER)
  • Panel discussion
    • We are talking to Leigh Turner (British Ambassador), Lisa Rilasciati (Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, European Affairs Department), Andreas Klauser (CEO of PALFINGER AG), Florian Kecht (Member of the Board of Directors of KTM AG), Harald Löffler (Honorary Austrian Consul in Manchester and partner at DAC Beachcroft LLP) and Dr. Julia Spitzbart.
