Background

Müge Şengönül is founding partner of GEMS Schindhelm.

Müge Şengönül graduated from the German High School Istanbul in 2001, after which she began the Law Faculty of Istanbul University. After successfully completing her law education in 2005, she successfully completed the Master's program in the field of corporate law at the Free University of Berlin in 2006. After returning from Berlin, she completed her legal traineeship in Istanbul at Ozbek Attorneys at Law.

Prior to joining GEMS Schindhelm, she was inhouse legal counsel of REMONDIS Group Turkey from 2009 to 2014 as well as inhouse legal counsel of Deutsche Messe Group Turkey from 2014 to 2018.

Müge Şengönül is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association since 2008.

Expertise

Müge Sengönül has an extensive experience in all areas of law related to large enterprises in their day-to-day business, including employment, contract, privacy, corporate compliance and corporate law, as well as litigation. These include in particular labor law processes and the collection of receivables.

Müge Şengönül has also carried out a large number of M&A transactions, starting from conducting the legal due diligence to the completion of the entire transaction.
