Fritz Ecker advises medium-sized and large companies in the field of corporate law, in particular with regard to restructuring and group law.

He has extensive experience in advising companies on financing transactions.

In addition, he advises clients in restructuring and reorganisation cases as well as in the acquisition and sale of companies.  


  • Advising an Austrian holding company on the raising of a EUR 140 million syndicated loan for the refinancing of a bond.  
  • Advising an Upper Austrian industrial holding company on the raising of a promissory note loan of EUR 50 million
  • Advising an Austrian electricity supplier on the acquisition of a telecommunications company
  • Supporting the restructuring of an Austrian sports goods retailer
  • Advice on the restructuring of an Austrian vehicle group
  • Advice on the merger of a holding company into a listed company
  • Insolvency administration of a medium-sized Upper Austrian industrial plant constructor
  • Advising managing directors and auditors on the defence against claims for damages due to delayed insolvency proceedings
  • Ongoing advice on corporate and capital market law for an Austrian listed company
  • Representation of the Republic of Austria in administrative liability proceedings in connection with investor claims


Fritz Ecker has been an associate at SCWP in Wels since 2011.

2004–2007 Bachelor´s programme law and economy, majoring in strategic management at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg.

2007–2009 Diploma programme of studies of law, majoring in corporate law, Master´s programme law and economy, majoring in Finance, both at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg.

2010 court traineeship at Linz District Court and at Linz Regional Court.

2010-2011 Trainee lawyer at the Finanzprokuratur in the Corporate and Finance departments.

Completion of the certified course “Certified International Turnaround Professional, CITuP” at the University of Kufstein
